Christmas!
So Christmas is just around the corner, as I'm sure most of you are aware. Well let me tell you, I am so very excited about it. Our house is all decorated, all my shopping is done, and I already have lots of presents under the tree. Last night I was talking to Michael about how much I love Christmas and why. It was actually a really good conversation for me, it put some things into perspective. I've been really kinda "bogged down" lately(and by lately I mean the last week! lol) by some issues that have been brought to my attention. Nothing really that big of a deal, but it's just been one of those things where it's always in the back of your mind ya know? So anyway, this past weekend Michael's really helped me a lot in figuring out how to look at things. So I'm feeling so much better today about everything going on in my life. (the really good worship yesterday at church couldn't have hurt either! ;) ) I really am blessed in my life, not just with material things, but with my family. Most of my friends don't have the kind of Christmas memories that I have, plus they don't really have the expectations of a great holiday season either. I don't know why my family is the one the "works", why my parents have gone so many years together and still love each other so much, or why the traditions that we do as a family still mean so much to all of us. I just consider myself one of the lucky ones. And I guess being appreciative of all of that is really what Christmas is about, it's what makes this time of year my absolute favorite. And now that I have Michael in my life, I'm able to show him what it's like to have a "Wagner Christmas", which honestly makes this season even better if you ask me!
